Aoibheanns pink tie is a non profit charity set up by a father who watched his daughter get sick and die of cancer .His name is Jimmy Norman. He and his family realised when they were going through this very painful time that there was no one to help.... No one to turn to for help /support /advice or a shoulder to cry on so after Aoibheann passed away Jimmy Norman decided that other families should not be alone on this heart breaking journey. From his strength and courage Aoibheann Pink Tie was born.
How does it go about tackling these issues?
Aoibheann Pink Tie gives practical and emotional support to parents and families with children going through and after cancer.

All children will have a line fitted in their chest for to be given Chemotherapy in some children it will remain for 3/4 year's this line is not allowed get wet or dirty so children cannot have a bath or swim or splash about
What has the overall impact of this work been?
The overall impact to the children and their families is try to gain some normality in the middle of crisis in and after treatment and all children deserve to smile and have fun.
